Program to support research for creation of contemporary dance

This program offers conditions for the development of the creation process, without pressure or conditioning, and without the obligation of making public presentations.
It awards experimentation grants and supports artists in creating the conditions for the development of their work, as well as providing strategic consulting for their future production.

The freedom achieved in this context is essential to creative processes and helps to break away from the pressures that lead to normative and conventional logics.
It is a driver of change in the ways of supporting Contemporary Dance and performance, positioning itself as a key contributor to growth and innovation in this sector.

Self-Mistake creates contexts for research and development projects translating the invisible as matter for transformation.

Creation happens throughout a process in which it is essential to give time and space so that the result of the artistic work does not become a mere consumer product. Self-Mistake promotes research free of constraints and pressures, based on an incentive to change the logic of process speed and over-production. It is necessary to give time to the senses and to thought, to ideas and their development... it encourages research and artistic development in diversified areas. The program creates conditions for artists who develop work on the margins of what has become conventional, in order to find their space of existence and growth.
